The Greater Omaha Sports Committee is proud to announce the 2010/2011 Male & Female Outstanding Scholar Athletes along with the Spring Scholar Athlete Award Winners sponsored by Regal Awards. Twelve High School Seniors, Seven boys, Five girls, representing nine different area High Schools were honored for not only their contributions on the field but their academic accomplishments in the class room. Students of this caliber are “The Cream of the Crop” says Jo Dusatko (Greater Omaha Sports Committee sub-committee chair), “it goes with out saying these kids are why we love to coach and teach. This Year’s recipients’ are Outstanding Male - Blake Headley - Millard South High School and Outstanding Female - Chelsea Albers - Papillion LaVista High School. These students are judged not only for their accomplishments on the field but for their scholastic achievements in the class room. This Spring's recipients were Outstanding and many participated in other Varsity Sports.
